Can you
imagine life without computers? Whether in the office. school or at home,
computers have become a necessary part of our everyday life. They save valuable
time and space. Time-consuming tasks, such as checking bank accounts can now be
done in a matter of minutes and large amounts of information are economically
stored on tiny disks. We can always keep up-to-date with global and current
issues. Computers provide entertainment. for instance in the form of amusing
games.
There are
also disadvantages with the computer age. Computer technology may progress
rapidly, but machines still make mistakes. It is not uncommon for computers to
suddenly crash, deleting whole files of essential information. How often do we
hear of youngsters spending all their free time in front of the computers,
isolating themselves from other people Computers are admirable
tools that improve the quality of life, but only when used sensibly.

Many people
believe that there's some truth in the saying "laughter is the best medicine".
In fact, a research done by scientists has shown that laughter has a lot of
health benefits. It helps relieve pain; it helps the immune system and reduces
stress. Laughter activates hormones and this makes us happy. It
also increase the flow of blood throughout the body Laughter therapy has become
very popular in recent years and as a result more and more laughter clubs are
starting to open up in cities and towns all over the world.
At a laughter session, a trained therapist instructs the group to perform a
series of exercises which are designed to produce laughter. Some people may find
the idea embarrassing at first and it takes them some time to get rid of their
frustration and disappointment. So next time you feel ill or depressed, try
watching a funny film.
